Carpet No.12 is a follow-up to Carpet No.11 from Cappelen Dimyr. A rustic and stylish rug in thicker wool, woven using a traditional basket weaving technique. The bold and oversized yarn runs throughout the rug and is finished with fringes made from the same yarn along all sides. This hand-knotted rug is made from natural, unbleached wool in a creamy ivory white color.

Each rug is unique, and slight variations in color and details may occur as a result of the handmade manufacture.

Cappelen Dimyr uses only natural fibers, such as untreated linen and wool, in an effort to create products with minimal negative impact on the environment. Each individual part of the rug is handmade, washed with natural soap and dried in the sun. No chemicals are used during any stage of production. All products from Cappelen Dimyr are certified according to Good Weave Certification and Care & Fair.

Care advice & Washing advice

The carpet partly has a long pile which usually has an initial tendency to shed fibres. We therefore recommend vacuuming the carpet often to reduce this. Precipitation will decrease over time.

To remove stains, use only a small amount of warm water or, for more stubborn stains, a small amount of soap. Wool contains natural fats that help prevent stains from penetrating the fibers. For a more thorough cleaning, dry cleaning is recommended.
