Candy Hen

Hand-painted stoneware candy bowl from Ceramika Artystyczna in Bolesławiec, Poland. The bowl is round with a domed lid, and on the lid sits a hen with a red comb. The pattern of small red flowering sprigs is painted by hand, so every bowl gets its own expression. The lid keeps the contents covered and the bowl can be left out.
